Royal Flying Doctors Service Tour

Through our involvement with Family Business Australia (FBA), Kris and Leisha were fortunate enough to receive the opportunity to tour the Jandakot facilities of the Royal Flying Doctors Service and hold in depth discussions with their CEO Graham Marshall.

The behind the scenes look at their operations revealed a lot of synergies between regional transport and the RFDS, which is effectively an air freight business transporting time critical freight (sick and injured humans) throughout Australia in the most efficient manner possible.  The added difficulty for the RFDS is operating as a not-for-profit organization.

The tour was a great experience to see the day to day operations of their critical call center right through to the fit out of the planes themselves (which Kris had to crawl through due to the low ceiling height) that basically turns them into a hospital emergency department in the air.  Some of the stories shared about cases the doctors and nurses encounter whilst in the air are incredible.  They are amazing people operating in this environment and saving lives.

We definitely came away from the day with lots of energy, a different perspective and greater appreciation for the Royal Flying Doctors.

Agri Chem Manufacturing Season

The 2015/2016 Agri Chem manufacturing season is in full swing and our Perth operations have been kept very busy this year transferring stock around Perth as well as filling our Perth yard and warehousing. This year we have been able to provide an effective supply chain solution in Perth for our customers by utilizing our efficient forms of transport around Perth to shift large volumes in less loads and then provide storage of chemical securely in our Perth yard until it is ready to be dispatched out to rural WA.

North Midlands Football League

Kris attended the North Midlands Football League grand final held in Mingenew to present the game ball to winning coach Ian Comben.  Congratulations to Mingenew who defeated Three Springs in a hard fought final.

S&K Electrical Geraldton Buccaneers

Unfortunately the Geraldton Buccaneers fell short of their achievements last year, with a disappointing exit in the first round of the final series.  The club unhappy with the results, have already made several changes with players and coaches in an attempt to once again become a dominant powerhouse in the State Basketball League.

We are looking forward to next year already!
